This is an Irish fiddle tune thought to come from the mid 19th century, and apparently gets used for Northumbrian sword dancing.

Disclaimer: I’m classically trained, so while I like dipping my toe into fiddle music I am fully aware that my playing in the video has strongly classical tendencies!

This piece is good for intermediate players, or for beginners who are comfortable with faster tempos and slurs.

The backing track comes with a slow (90bpm) and a fast (162bpm) version and has a one-and-a-half bar (three clicks) click track into.
